The Legislature Building.

The Alberta Legislature building is situated directly in the center of the 56 acres of beautifully groomed parkland. Built between 1907 and 1913 by architects Allan Merrick Jeffers and Richard Blake, the grounds lie on the site of the fifth and final Fort Edmonton, an out post of the Hudson Bay Company. It was built using a multitude of techniques and stones. Supported by columns steel wrapped in concrete, the other floors are faced using granite from Vancouver Island and sandstone from the Calgary area. The building offers guided tours 362 days of the year
